Fan Out hair shears are manufactured in Japan, utilizing both new and old technologies to bring you the ultimate comfort and lasting sharpness in the perfect shear.
With over 75 years of experience, our Japanese factory utilizes the latest computer controlled manufacturing techniques. While 15 out of the 20 steps in the manufacturing process of our shears are done by hand, our traditional craftsmen personally handle the sharpening and final inspections. The precision sharpness, lightweight, and natural balance are just a few of the qualities that set us apart from our competition.
As of January 2019, all Fan Out shears, except for TRS SM series will be finished in our new process called, TT ( Takumi Treatment).
This new process makes our shears even harder and sharper, resulting in a longer lasting shear with an even smoother cut.
