As of January 1 2019, all our shears, except for our TRS DM series will be finished in our new process called, TT (Takumi Treatment).
This new process makes our shears even harder and sharper, resulting in a longer lasting shear with an even smoother cut.
Some companies put blades on a very hard steel resulting in very brittle blades. These shears become very dull and short lasting.
Our process is quite different. We put blades and apply Takumi Treatment which makes our shears harder, sharper, smoother and long lasting.
Here are some results between our previous shears and our Takumi Treated shears.
Rockwell scale: Takumi treated shears are 6.2% harder than our non-treated shears.
Vickers Hardness:  Takumi treated shears are 15.3% harder than our non-treated shears.
*Tests were performed by a third party.
Fan Out is very proud of these magnificent results and we hope everyone enjoys our new Takumi Treated shears.
We currently only have one craftsman servicing shears, who frequently goes back and forth to Japan.

"From Russia with Beauty"
I attended a show call Beautycup in St. Petersburg, Russia and this might be the biggest competition in the world. There were more than 2000 competitors from different countries such as Japan, England, Italy, Poland and Finland. They had also exhibitions and I met Rafe Hardy of Sexyhair. Their booth was very busy and Russian were very interested in new products. They have the show in September and February and if you are interested in going there, please feel free to contact me. I have visited many countries and this is one of the most beautiful city to visit. The entry fee for a foreigner is free. The hotel is about $40 a night with breakfast. Their Russian website is www.beautycup.info and I have an entry information in English.

New shears at Twin State show in VA
We are introducing our new shears at Twin State distributor show in VA this weekend.
These are very offset shears and there are many different ways to use them. See attached pictures.
We have shown our prototype Multi Purpose Shears at Long Beach and Chicago show and the response was amazing.
You can move your thumb location from front to back and it swivels. We are applying for Patent and we will have these shears in 6 months. These are part of Mushin shears and I am very excited about them. I believe that these will change the concept of shears.
Have a nice week and hope to see you at Twin State show.
