I love the shears.

Born in Austria, he represents the fifth generation of hairdressers in his family.

After being educated in Austria, Germany and Switzerland he received his Masters Degree in Hairdressing in Austria, 1972.

1973 he emigrated to South Africa and joint Carlton Hair.

1978 Gerd Hoher came to California to establish Carlton Hair International (31 stores).

The company‘s philosophy was always based on strong education in all aspects of customer care, hairdressing, hair cutting, coloring and retail.

Throughout his career he had always had a close relationship with Schwarzkopf Professional. As a platform artist he conducted many hair shows and seminars for Schwarzkopf in USA, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.

September 2001 he opened “The Spot on Montana”, hair salon in Santa Monica, California.

From September 2002 to March 2006 he was the National Director of Education, leading the Schwarzkopf Professional Education Team.

March 2008 Gerd Hoher launched a new color line, artease™colors in the USA. As President of artease™ colors the company will grow guided by the same principals that have proven so successful in the past.
